Here is another e-mail received Sunday afternoon...

What a great night on Main Street this past Friday. Haven't had that much fun in downtown Mesa since the 70's. My husband and I were part of the organization to try and keep crusing alive back then. We had a chance to show our daughter what we used to do, and see friends we haven't seen in a long time. Also got a chance to see all the new stores in downtown Mesa. I hope this is repeated at least every couple of months or so, especially while the weather is nice. Thanks again for a great night.

Downtown Mesa Returns to the"Fabulous Fifties" for November 9th "A Night Out in Downtown Mesa" Rally to Include Hundreds of Classic Cars.

Downtown Mesa will return to the "Fabulous Fifties" with classic cars and a whole lot more during the next "A Night Out in Downtown Mesa" on November 9 until 10 p.m. on and around West downtown Main Street.

Classic Cars

The upcoming Night Out in Downtown Mesa will have a "Fabulous Fifties"theme. Highlights will include a classic car rally with an estimated 400 vehicles, according to rally organizers. A variety of car clubs and others will cruise downtown Main Street and show off their fine automobiles. Plans also call for movies to be shown outside on the wall of Posh Nosh, the restaurant at 10 W. Main Street. The films will be in accordance with the"Fabulous Fifties" theme.

Shopping, Dining, Entertainment & More

As always, about 50 businesses on and around West downtown Main Street will also stay open until 10 p.m. to offer great shopping and dining. Many will also have live entertainment, including a number of musicians and bands.

Mrs. Potts Tea Party, 264 W. Second Street, will join the fun by sending over Princesses Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. These and possibly other fairytale princesses will sing and do face painting. For more information, call Mrs. Potts Tea Party at (480) 827-0654.

Studio 101, located at 101 W. Main St., will offer free swing dance lessons for all ages at 7:30 p.m. Attendees will also enjoy refreshments and music to "...keep all you hep cats and swing kids lindy hopping all night!"Additionally, Studio 101 will show oil paintings by Mark Coomer and a "Nihon No Sashin" (Picture Japan) photography exhibit. Artwork will be sold by a number of sidewalk vendors, including at least 10 members of the Mesa Art League. These are just a few highlights, as a diverse range of businesses, organizations and individuals are continually joining A Night Out in Downtown Mesa.

A Night at the Museum!
