The weather should be beautiful and the merchants are going all out to make sure everyone has a great time this Friday! Here is the most up to date list of all the goings on.

Long List of Fun Happenings
at Next ‘Friday Night Out’
Children’s face painting, children's sidewalk chalk art, a children’s balloon artist and a children’s fashion show are among the long list of fun things the entire family can see and do at the next Friday Night Out in downtown Mesa. The event will be June 8 until 10 p.m. on and around West Main Street.
About 50 downtown businesses will stay open late during Friday Night Out to offer great shopping and dining. Many merchants, plus Mesa Arts Center, will also host live entertainment, art demonstrations, children’s activities and much more. Following is a partial list of activities for this Friday.
At 127 W. Main St., in front of Claims Pages, there will be Children’s June Bug Chalk Art on the sidewalk.
Studio T Gallery, 160 W. Main St., will have face painting for children and art demonstrations on the sidewalk.
Posh Nosh, 10 W. Main St., will have a balloon artist for kids on the sidewalk, along with an 8-foot checkerboard and live music. Chef Jeffrey Maas will also be out front serving gelato and “shooters,” which are shot glasses filled with cold soups.
The Glitter Box, 140 W. Main St., will hold a children’s fashion show on the sidewalk.
Mystic Paper, 123 W. Main St., will have a live ATC (Artist Trading Card) Swap. Artists will bring in cards with art on one side and their name/contact information on the other, and trade with each other. The theme is Fairy Tales and Fables.
Tiffany's Technique, 210 W. Main St., will have dance demonstrations.
Art On Main, 48 W. Main St., will have it’s opening night reception for the Going Places exhibition. This new show, which will run through July 12, will feature “artwork from places we love and places we would love to visit.”
Five Star D J Center, 202 W. Main St., will have live music.
The jazz band comprised of musicians from M-Troniks Engineering, 41 W. Main St., and Linton-Milano Music, 45 W. Main St., will perform on the sidewalk.
US Bank, 1 N. Macdonald St., #107, will host an Open House with food and music. Anyone who opens a bank account during Friday Night Out will get a $50 deposit courtesy of US Bank.
Inside The Bungalow, 48 N. Robson St., will have live music.
Muralt:Sarbo Custom Jewelers, 130 W. Main St., will have live music.
Wind Up Gallery, 126 W. Main St., will have a DJ.
One Oh One, which owns the building at 101 W. Main St., will host several artists. Jim Farrah who teaches at Mesa Arts Center will give watercolor demonstrations. Mike Schmalzer of Tucson will have an exhibit of pinhole photography. Gail Finney of Chandler will display her fusion glass. Additionally, the Rude Mechanics band will perform out front.
Premier Martial Arts, located on East University Drive just beyond the downtown square mile, will give martial arts demonstrations.

Mesa Contemporary Arts, the five-gallery visual arts complex at Mesa Arts Center, will stay open until 8 p.m. Admission is $3.50. Current exhibitions include:
· Latent Image: Contemporary photography in Arizona
· Physical Presence: The Figure in Contemporary Art
· Parallel: An installation of alternative materials by Kenneth Richarson and Ted Troxel
· Contemporaneous Corroboration: The work of Annie Lopez and Jeff Falk
The Store at Mesa Arts Center will also stay open until 8 p.m. The store offers original art, books, CDs, greeting cards, art supplies, children’s items, and more.
Again, these are just a few highlights of the next Friday Night Out. More entertainment and participating businesses are continually being added to this growing event, which is coordinated by downtown Mesa merchants and held the second Friday of every month.
